The Luxor uses 39 huge lights each one the size of a washing machine and then they have a mirror that directs the lights into a single beam that goes into outer space. What's interesting though is that if the light was in a place like Los Angeles people would be able to see it every night because of the pollution in the air so it reflects the light beam, so everyone can see it. But in Las Vegas the air is often clean (little dust) and dry (limited humidity), so the beam has nothing to reflect from and invisibly goes off into space.
It's kind of like being a Christian as we're told to shine our light (love), into dark places that need it. If we don't take our light into the dark, it's wasted. Let’s not just shine our light into the light, we need to take it to places that need it even if it's someplace we aren't comfortable.
Let's get out there and make our Father proud!
