I often hear people talk about how much money is wasted on election campaigns…many of the presidential candidates raise close to $100 million dollars which is amazing. This generally isn’t done through small donations but instead through huge PACs that certainly have their own agendas.
But is the money spent on election campaigns a waste? The thing is the money is spent on things like radio and television advertising, merchandise, printing, consultants, paid staffers, etc. An election campaign is an economy in and of itself. So the fact is one man’s waste is another man’s livelihood.
