What I find amazing is that as cars started leaving the production lines in the U.S. the Wright Brothers flew their first aircraft so just as most Americans were amazed at the new carriages without horses, they were once again amazed that flight was possible. Could you imagine living back then to see all this? By the way, have you ever wondered where the term horse power came from? It was the best way to describe the power an engine had back then as consumers could relate how much pull horses had in pulling their carriages around. The terminology stuck.
