Biden is touting his new "Comprehensive Gun Bill," piggybacking off the latest tragedy in Sacramento. First of all, the number of lies he told during his press conference were outrageous even for him. Here's what he doesn't want anyone to know:
1) Almost every component of the Bill he's pushing was already in play in Sacramento with the exception of him pushing to be able to sue gun manufacturers for the action of others.
2) The places in our country with the worst gun related crimes are in democratic controlled cities and they have some of the strictest gun laws in the country; once again, they're already implementing components of Biden's legislation.
3) He and pretty much all the other democrats are saying that their gun laws are being usurped by republican controlled states. In other words, Chicago is blaming their outrageous gun crimes on Iowa, Kentucky, and Indiana. This is an absolute lie. It's a sickening lie that too many people believe because instead of using their own common sense and logic, they crazily believe people that continue to lie to them again and again.
Why in the world would someone buy guns and ammos at the ridiculous prices in these other states and think they'll make money off the streets? People in south Chicago don't have money to pay full price for weapons so they buy from the black market which is fueled by stolen guns. Law abiding citizens who had their weapons stolen. If democrats really cared about slowing down crimes like these, then keep people in prison.
I don't know if this will be a surprise to you but most people who have committed murder already have a long rap sheet. Democrats do everything they can to limit sentences which then becomes the revolving door of justice with close to 70% of the prisoners being repeat offenders. And then what do they do, they let them out again because they had difficult lives growing up because they are, in their own words, victims of white people.
4) Contrary to the lie he and other democrats are telling, good luck getting a gun without a criminal background check. The process is comprehensive. Now when it comes to private sales of guns, a background check isn't required and I'm not sure this needs to be done, but if they required it, I wouldn't have a problem since criminal background checks are relatively inexpensive and they're immediate. But here's the kicker, if you were a private seller and you told the person he or she can't have the gun because of their background, would the seller be safe? I don't know. I'm sure there are some things we can do to improve the number of gun related deaths across the country, but it's a very complicated matter. And as seen in other countries where guns aren't so prevalent, if someone wants to kill someone else, there are plenty of resources around like axes, bare hands, bats, clubs, knives, tire irons, etc., and they take advantage of it. And I've got to say, I'd prefer being shot by a gun and killed than beaten or stabbed to death, but that's just me.
There's way more to the story than just the above, but I'll end it here. Democrats will say and do anything to get what they want, and truth be damned. When you party believes the end justifies the means then you have no moral authority to dictate anything to anyone whether it's about the environment, guns, or anything else for that matter. Show some integrity, then get back into the discussions. Thanks.
