The Covid-19 relief bill signed by President Joe Biden last March, allocated nearly $170 billion to K-12 schools and colleges to help fund initiatives such as installing ventilation systems, reducing class sizes, implementing social distancing processes, hiring additional staff and purchasing personal protective equipment for teachers, staff and students. The relief package provided $128.5 billion in grants to elementary, middle and high schools and about $40 billion in grants to colleges and universities.
Guess where most of the money went? To blue states. Are you surprised? Are you surprised that places like Chicago, that received billions of dollars hasn't done anything that the money was supposed to be used for? At this point, republicans can't even get these cities (or the whole state of California in this situation), to share where the money was spent? Do you think it is all accounted for, or do you think there are a lot of corrupt democrats getting rich off of taxpayers? This is exactly why democrats push for federal and state programs because just like in places like Haiti, there are always people skimming from the top.
What some of these democrats are doing is sickening. It's illegal and they're hiding it. They should be slapped anytime they throw out the word: "transparency." I'd like to be on that task force. 😉
