So often, liberals act like they are the moral authority and that for some reason, Republicans hate people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. Why would conservatives not care about these people, it truly makes no sense and I can’t understand why so many liberals buy into it. Leaders of the Democrat Party divide our country using various segments of our society which goes to show it wasn’t Trump who started divisive politics; he just throws fuel on the fire.
This is what I believe is a perfect example of how Democrats push their agenda through demonizing Republicans for their alleged lack of morals. I recently listened to a panel of liberals commenting that global warming is a moral issue because it negatively affects poor people around the world and that Republicans don’t care. It certainly isn't visibly affecting anyone in the U.S., so they take their perceived moral authority and focus it on poor people in other countries. What they were saying were either lies or they’re just naïve; I couldn’t tell you for sure although I believe the former.
We know that many third-world countries have a tremendous amount of people living there such as in India and China (China is considered third-world based on human conditions); together they make up over a third of our world’s population. Citizens in these countries were living in deplorable conditions. Many were living in shacks or on the streets and were lucky to get one small meal a day. They weren’t concerned about global warming, they were concerned about the basics because they were just trying to survive.
Thankfully, things have changed. They’ve increased their personal wealth faster than anywhere else in the world over the last twenty years. Now they are consumers and all that it entails. They’re able to afford housing and fuel to heat them. They now own cars and put gas in them. Trees have been cut down to make room for development and the machines that were used to do all this work, needed fuel. Roads were paved which means more crude oil.
The primary reason these people have been able to pull themselves out of horrendous poverty (poverty our country has never experienced), is that world trade came about, and they were able to make things inexpensively and people around the globe bought them. They were pulled out of poverty but with this, came a negative impact (to what degree no expert could tell us), to the environment.
Let the above sink in. Liberals are saying they care about poor people because they care about climate change but what helped pull these people out of poverty has led to the very thing liberals are fighting against with their global warming campaigns. The billions of citizens around the world who are trying to get out of poverty, so their children can eat, don’t care about global warming; they’re just trying to survive.
I highly doubt if any of these moral liberals were struggling for food and shelter, that global warming would be an issue for them either. It’s so easy for them to be moral when an issue isn’t directly impacting their lives. It’s so easy to be moral with someone else’s money. Republicans care about billions of people around the world who are struggling to get food to eat, roof over their heads, and medical care. Just how bad are we and who is more moral?
