There are a lot of people I need in my life (outside of family and friends), like a barber, dentist, doctor. mechanic, police, sanitation engineers, tax consultant, teachers, etc., but you know who I don't need in my life? That would be professional athletes and entertainers who feel they are morally superior and more intelligent than average Americans. They strangely believe we need their insight into Civics, History, Political Science, etc. How arrogant!
They aren't critical to having a great life while the other professions impact us directly and in a large way. You know what's really upside down? That would be the millions of dollars these people are making every year even though they're non-essential. I think it's time that fans boycott professional sports. These celebrities need to know that we don't need them, and we especially don't want them preaching to us and condemning us for our views. Take money out of their coffers and we'll see change.
