His life story is amazing and hopefully one that will make the big screen someday. This includes how he grew up and the rough times he had in Hollywood. He talks about how his mom, who is now 100 years old, prayed for him every day to have the strength of character to not give into the Hollywood trap of fame and fortune at any costs. She prayed that he'd find Jesus and a strong, Christain, woman, to help him with his spiritual journey. Her prayers worked! Who'd of thunk? :)
I have a fantastic friend (Rick), who is the greatest prayer warrior I know. If I have something I need help with from a higher power, I always include Rick because he gives his prayer life 200%. He brings it! In between coming up with mind-blowing statistical analysis tools and keeping our company up and running from a technology perspective, he's constantly in prayer. He's amazing.
Rick and his wife, Ann, both in their 60's, were planning on retiring next year and moving onto some family property in eastern, North Carolina. About a month ago, Ann was talking to Rick from another room and stated that she was all of a sudden feeling sick to her stomach. She went into the bathroom and Rick went in there just a few minutes later to see how she was holding up. She was on the floor dead from a massive heart attack.
I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful woman this world lost. I think her first thought each day when she woke up is what can I do to help others. That's the way she rolled. A humble servant of God.
Please say a quick prayer for Rick and his daughter Hannah as they deal with this terrible loss. By the way, I saw a video of Ann with her grandkids. The smile on her face and the obvious joy in her heart, shone like a lighthouse. It was so mesmerizing that I didn't realize I had tears rolling down my face until I stopped the video. All I could think is how awesome it's going to be when Ann hears: "Well done my good and faithful servant! Well, done!!"
