The mainstream media went crazy talking about how far off base President Trump was for cancelling the visit to the White House for the Super Bowl Champions. They neglected to mention a very important point that goes to show it was the Eagles who were playing politics and Trump responded in kind.
The Eagles said they were sending 81 people to the White House then 24 hours before the event they said that only a handful would be attending including their mascot. This was a slap in the face to the Trump Administration as it was very clear what the Eagles were doing and that is they were trying to make a political statement and boycott the event. Trump said fine and decided to cancel the event all together versus having around five members of the squad, including the owner, at a supposed celebration. Instead Trump turned it around and made it a celebration about our flag and National Anthem and it went off extremely well.
