Enter the wealth tax. So even if someone followed all the IRS tax laws over the years, the government wants to go back in and see how well people did with their money, and take another stab at getting their hands on it. I'm not a fan of some people like Jeff Bezos, and it might feel good at some level for him to have some of his wealth taken away, but here's the thing, if I wouldn't want the government doing it to me, then I shouldn't be okay with the government doing it to someone else. That's being moral.
Let's say that your mother was your only parent still living and she passed away. She didn't have much money but her home and property is now worth $1 million. If democrats have their way, they'd like to take at least $200K of that away and give to the federal government. I'm sure some states will get in on the action as well. So even though your parents were taxed for all those years and then spent their money wisely to where they have the $1 million in property value, they will have messed up. They should've used the money on themselves instead of the government getting their hands on it. This is the essence of stealing.
BTW: If you're a liberal and want to try and tell me that they won't tax anyone at this $1 million inheritance amount, don't waste your time. The Biden Harris Administration has no credibility.
Please contact your representatives and let them know that you do not believe a wealth tax is constitutional and if they do, then to explain to you why? Thanks!
