1) Only 2.8% of Americans are covered by Obama Care, so it's not the solution to healthcare in our country.
2) Enrollment has dropped millions since its inception because of two primary reasons: a) Premiums went up dramatically while benefits went down. b) Insurers were dropping out of Obama Care because they weren't making enough money. There are even areas in our country where Obama Care isn't available because there are no insurance carriers signed up with Obama Care.
3) Obama Care isn’t the program that was promised to the American people for two primary reasons: a) They promised medical care costs would go down around 27%, instead they went up dramatically. b) They promised it would pay for itself but instead the federal government had to kick in money to try and offset insurance company losses. The individual mandate which would require people to enroll, didn't happen because Democrats and the Obama Administration didn't want people talking badly about the insurance. They needed to force young people who couldn’t be on their parent’s plan into the program because they are less expensive to insurance carriers. Young people didn't sign up like Democrats had hoped, and they didn't collect money from them through penalties, so taxpayers absorbed the costs instead without even being told about it.
Democrats are willing to shut down the government over $1.6 billion dollars for a border wall, but they've cooked the books to funnel money into Obama Care. It's one of the reasons why the Obama Administration increased our debt more than all other presidents combined.
