In 1988, she started a new tour called: "Break Every Rule World Tour." She broke a Guinses Bood World Record of having 180,000 people at one of her concerts. She was the first black woman on the cover of "The Rolling Stone." In all she had 12 Grammy Awards.
She also ended up acting in the movie "Tommy" (1975) and her blockbuster performance in the movie "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" in 1985. Her performance in Mad Max is iconic.
The worst part of her life was dealing with the domestic abuse by Ike Turner. When he died in 2007, she sent out a press release letting people know she has nothing to say about his death since she hadn't spoken to Ike for over 30 years.
Tina had been severely ill for around seven years and had a kidney transplant in 2017. She died at her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, aged 83, from cancer, heart disease, and kidney failure.
