1) He's 6'4" and played basketball at the University of Southern California.
2) He was a sergeant in the Army National Guard for six years.
3) He didn't get into acting until his senior year in college, he was just planning on getting a business degree.
4) His acting career didn't take off until the show "Magnum." He was in six television shows that he took part in before Magnum, that flopped. The show took off like a rocket and Magnum was People Magazine's sexiest man alive. Because of this, Universal NBC Studios wanted him to take the lead role in the movie: "Raiders of The Lost Arc," which ended up going to Harrison Ford. The reason he couldn't take the role is that CBS had locked him down in a contract that he could do no other projects while Magnum was running.
5) He's been in 28 movies and 60 television shows.
6) Most of us have tried Hidden Valley ranch salad dressing, he actually lives there; he bought the 60 acre farm from Dean Martin.
7) He does most of his work around the ranch versus getting help. He loves fixer-upper projects.
8) He's won three acting awards and has a honorary doctorate degree from Pepperdine University who wanted to honor him for his personal integrity and ethics; thus why he's a Republican. :)
9) He's been married for 32 years and has two children (one of whom was adopted).
He sure is finishing his career with a bang as his show Blue Bloods has been a great show on CBS for years. It's nice knowing not everyone in Hollywood is out of their minds.
