Depending on where you source the information, the list of the scariest movies, can vary. I've taken a few sites and averaged out the ratings. Here are the top ten scariest films (not in any particular order), according to certain publications:
1) Halloween.
2) The Silence of the Lambs.
3) Rosemary's Baby.
4) Carrie.
5) The Exorcist.
6) Alien.
7) Jaws.
8) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
9) The Shining.
10) The Blair Witch Project.
I can't say for sure if these are in fact the scariest of all time but I can say they sure scared the bejesus out of me! I do find it interesting that some of the scariest movies are older movies.
