Speaking of George Floyd. I don't think I'll ever get over some members of the African American community treating him like a hero. It was sickening. Why in the world did they honor a man who was responsible for victimizing their own citizens? He left Houston not on good terms, promising to make it a fresh start in Minneapolis. He didn't and his family knew this. He quickly began victimizing his new African American community.
You know what would've saved his life that day? First and foremost, if he didn't commit a crime that an African American called 911 over, he wouldn't have had an interaction with the police. 2) Swallowing drugs in front of the police requires they get hands on and not allow the suspect to get rid of evidence. 3) He aggressively resisted arrest. 4) He refused to get in the squad car.
Everything was about the officer involved and the African American community tried to shut down any voices regarding the things Floyd did to cause his own death. Instead, they gave him funerals which rivaled Dr. Martin Luther King., Jr.'s. It was sickening to watch and why at this point, there's not a chance I'll ever relate to certain members of the African American community. I don't respect any of their heroes who victimize others. Call me old fashioned.
