Here we go again. Let me clean up the fake news from the mainstream media regarding the Republican's tax plan. I find it absolutely disgusting the way they spin things to push their liberal agendas. Here's some truth they didn't bother to share:
1) The tax plan isn't written in blood. The media is using the verbiage "permanent" on purpose but as anyone with common sense knows nothing about any legislation, especially taxes, is permanent; it’s just a scare tactic.
2) They focused the attention on the upper 20% getting a bigger tax break when anyone with half a brain knows that if someone's tax bracket goes down 2% but makes more income than someone's whose bracket went down 12%, then of course dollar wise they might get a bigger break because they've been paying substantially more. Liberals kept talking about the rich needing to pay their fair share, but they couldn't get around the fact that the upper 20% were providing almost all the tax revenues. Have you ever heard a liberal explain how these people aren't paying their fair share?
3) They keep saying taxes are going up in eight to ten years and they focus on the middle-class when they say this. It's complete spin. When Bush got his tax cuts passed they said the same thing but when they came up for renewal (which this plan will as well), Democrats who had both the House and Senate and Executive Branch extended the tax cuts because they thought they were working. Do you remember the media hyping this at all? Do you remember them stating that the Bush Tax Cuts were so good the Obama Administration wanted to keep them in place? No.
The only reason taxes would go up in around 10 years is if the House and Senate agreed they should. If the tax plan doesn't provide the tax breaks promised, doesn't grow the economy, or pushes our debt up too quickly, they can very easily go back to the previous Tax Plan. Please keep in mind that Democrats and the mainstream media know this, so the fact is they’re lying to everyone.
The bottom line is the mainstream media is blatantly a propaganda machine for the Democrat Party. They weren't even close to being fair with their reporting about the new tax plan. They didn't even mention that the middle-class is getting a break and/or how much. I should mention that I saw a CBS news segment that did verify the tax breaks.
By the way, they are getting a good tax break. If not, if Republicans are lying for some reason because they want to alienate a major voting block, then the middle-class can scream bloody murder and go back to the existing tax plan and vote Democrat the next time around.
