What were they thinking? I believe the very first thing we flyers expect in doing business with an airline, is that they'll get us there. There should be nothing special about this claim. Maybe they're trying to get us, in the back of our minds, to think about the possibility that maybe another airline, "Won't get us there!"
Marketing people are sneaky. They live in a world of smoke and mirrors. By the way, Delta pulled themselves out of the mess with a new slogan in 1987 of: "We love to fly, and it shows."
