Obama got his job as a part-time lecturer at the University of Chicago through the help of Valerie Jarret. If you noticed I wrote “lecturer” not “professor” because he wasn’t one which was one of the points the Clinton camp made in 2008 saying that Obama was lying about his credentials when he called himself a Constitutional Law Professor because he wasn’t according to his employee contract. He didn’t have the necessary credentials to be deemed a professor.
Obama’s real job while lecturing part-time was as a civil rights attorney. Part of his contract with the university was that he'd teach classes on the impact of the Constitution and its evolution when it comes to racism and that he’d write a new text book for the school on the topic. The Dean (which I saw the interview), said that he kept asking Obama where he was at in writing the book but Obama kept putting him off. Then one day to his shock and dismay Obama comes to his office all excited that he had signed a book deal for: "Dreams of My Father." Here he was getting paid by the University for writing a book for them and instead Obama had spent his time writing a book for himself.
If this story were about a Republican candidate it would've been all over the news but instead he was being protected by them because the story was there as the dean was talking but the mainstream media wasn't listening. Thus the reason every Republican candidates win it’s a big story because they not only had to beat their opponents they also had to beat the mainstream media who was working against them.
