Of course we’ll never know the answers to these questions. It might be easy for African Americans to reflect back now and say they’d never do what white people did but we never know for sure how we’ll respond to various issues until we’ve experienced them firsthand. Even I look back to how African Americans were mistreated in the past and think there’s no way I would’ve been a part of it, but I can’t say for sure. They were different times. Most countries around the world have had some embarrassing moments in their past all we can do is learn from them and not repeat them.
This is just my opinion, but I don’t see African Americans responding any differently than whites and the reason I say this, is that African Americans aren’t genetically morally superior to white people and vice-versa. If African Americans would reflect upon this reverse role scenario maybe race relations would improve.
