What's the Real Story?

1/23/2019

The latest big story in the media is regarding the high school students from Covington Catholic in Kentucky and it’s a perfect example of how the media and some liberals in general, attempt to steer a liberal narrative. Before having the full story, they attacked the students for being racists against Native Americans.

Then when the entire video came out, they realized they had made a mistake and some of the media came back and apologized for jumping to conclusions about the students. Who could blame Democrats and the mainstream media for quickly attacking the kids, they had a great opportunity to attack MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters , pro-life students, from a religious school? It was the trifecta of liberal assaults.

But here’s the story that actually mattered, that they didn’t share. The video showed African Americans verbally assaulting these students with horrendous racists comments. It was brutal and I feel so sorry for them. If the roles were reversed and white people were shouting racists’ words at African American high school students, it would be covered 24/7 in the media. The people involved would be tracked down in anyway possible and some would no doubt receive death threats.

I don't like racists remarks of any kind and love Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's, comments about content of character's importance over color of skin, so when it happens in either direction, blacks against whites or whites against blacks, it must be called out; the media refused to do it.

The big question is why they didn't cover what would normally be a significant story? I certainly can't say for sure, but throughout history motive can typically be found in influence, power, and/or money. In this case, African Americans have a significant amount of influence in the Democrat Party and would naturally receive cover from the mainstream media.

This is what our country has come to. Democrats and the mainstream media attempt to control the content of what we hear and see so they can push their political ideology.  There was a huge story, but it wasn’t the one about what the students did, it was what was done to them. They didn’t physically or verbally assault anyone, they didn’t even cuss. But they were victims of hate based upon the color of their skin. It’s not just the stories they chose to tell, or how they tell them, it’s the stories the mainstream media doesn’t tell, that earns them the title of fake news.
