Hard to believe, but actress Danica McKellar, who played Winnie on the hit show "Wonder Years," is now 44 years old. She loved being a child actress but what she loves more, is math. She still does a little acting (Hallmark Channel), and voiceover work from time to time.
Danica attended UCLA to pursue a degree in mathematics and graduated Suma Cum Laude. She co-authored articles in mathematics when she was just a student and has published several books since then geared towards getting young people interested in math, especially young girls.
The titles of her books are funny such as: "Math Doesn't Suck," "Kiss My Math," "Hot X: Algebra Exposed," "Girls Get Curves," and "Geometry Takes Shape." What she's done to make math cool and understandable, is awesome. Little Winnie ended up becoming an amazing woman!
