I'm so old, I remember awkwardly stretching across the car seat to unlock the passenger door; fortunately my seatbelt didn't hold me back because I didn't have one.
When I was a navigator in the Navy I was always intrigued by the Northern Star (Polaris). The reason for this is I could see stars and constellations moving throughout the night but not Polaris. It stayed right where it was above the North Pole and 334 light years from Earth. I could count on it; I always knew which way was north.
In some ways Polaris reminds me of God, everything changes/moves but he doesn't. He's always there to direct my path and I don't need to worry if I'm going the wrong direction. I calculated the number of serial killers in the U.S. since they started tracking them (231), and took into consideration the number of people living in the U.S. throughout the years of the serial killers being around and I came up with them making up .00001% of our population. Serial killers get a lot of press and are a part of many story lines in movies and on television but we should keep in mind evil people like them are extremely rare.
The fact is even if we take into consideration these evil people and all those who are incarcerated and currently in the judicial process, most Americans are good people. We need to remember this when we leave our homes and go out into the world. Have you ever thought deeply about why CNN is so vicious when it comes to Trump? Sure he called them out early on because of their news coverage of his campaign compared to Hillary. For example, he was bringing in crowds of over 20,000 while Hillary was bringing in around 5,000 but you'd never know it watching CNN because they’d edit the footage.
Hillary, as usual, had all kinds of scandals which CNN wasn't covering yet they'd jump on Trump over every little thing. CNN gladly pushed a narrative about violent Trump supporters but when it was discovered that supporters of Hillary Clinton trained people on how to disrupt Trump rallies and incite violence, they didn't cover it. Think about it, Hillary's people created the violence and CNN comes in and blames it on Trump's supporters making it appear like they were a bunch of angry rednecks. This is just one example of why Trump went after them so the bottom line is CNN threw the first punches and Trump being a Brooklyn boy, punched back even harder. But in my opinion there's more to why CNN has constantly gone after Trump after he won the election and that is they and other media were humiliated over their predictions of Hillary's landslide victory. Even the New York Times had a front-page article stating she had a 93% chance of winning. All anyone had to do was look at the faces of the news anchors at CNN and MSNBC, when the last of the election results came in and know how biased they were. Tears were even shed by some of their “professional” news anchors. Either they had to accept that they were exposed for being liberally biased or they could take a different tact and push a new narrative that Trump stole the election. They’ve tried desperately to tie Trump to Russia but it’s being debunked including having Democrats just yesterday admitting their committees hadn't found any wrongdoings between Russia and Trump's campaign. CNN also spent countless hours talking about how Hillary won the popular vote which is of course blatantly biased. They were doing everything they could to try to save face when the best thing they could’ve done is just lay low and not pile on to their own mess. I don't like Trump but I like the direction he's trying to take our country. I think it's highly likely that we will end up with a President Pence if Trump continues to speak his mind with no filter; but this doesn't matter when it comes to CNN's coverage. It's okay to have their segments with political celebrities/pundits which is what Fox News has with people like Hannity and Tucker, but Fox also has news anchors like Shepard Smith who I don't have a clue which party he's affiliated with and that's how it should be. They share way more news than the other networks without commentary. CNN should either accept who they are which is a political arm for the Democrat Party, or they should change their format and see how their ratings do by becoming a legitimate news organization. With their ratings and profits going down over the last few years, I’d recommend they do something quickly. Hillary said that women just don't know how to make a good argument against sexism. Let this sink in. It shouldn't have to be a complicated and strategic argument it should be testimonial in nature if female oppression is systemic. Examples should be readily available to share.
Based on the number of female employees in the country working for millions of different businesses, only a fraction of a percent of women currently have lawsuits against employers. The facts show there aren't systemic issues regarding female oppression so I'm not real sure why the Women's Rights Movement is saying there is. There's absolutely no doubt that it was terrible decades ago I just don't see where it's a huge issue now; certainly not worth creating division in our country. Some of the women I heard speak act like they hate men, what did I do? I could be wrong about the oppression as I'm coming at it from a male's perspective but I'm open minded, I just haven't been able to find proof that it exist beyond anomalies and I've not heard it articulately explained in what the problems are and how they can be fixed. I'd appreciate them not attacking me because I'm a white male until they can prove that I'm part of the problem. Having worked with many of the Fortune 100 companies over the years I can let you in on a little secret - there's no conspiracy to hold women back. If female employees are such a good value why don't companies have a majority of their workforce be women? Has common sense completely left our country? As to be expected, Democrats are attacking the Republican’s tax plan saying it benefits the wealthy not those in the middle-class. This makes no sense, why would Republicans care about so few votes (rich people), and risk angering those in the middle where the voting mass is located? It's crazy what the Democrat leadership is trying to sell but as P.T. Barnum said: "There's a sucker born every day."
Do you find it ironic that Hollywood is viciously attacking gun advocates when they're the ones who are lighting the fire under disturbed individuals to commit murder? Liberals don't like to discuss it because of their love affair with the entertainment industry, but there's no question that the horrific violence they produce for movies and television negatively affects society.
Let me reiterate, no question. Let me also add the demeaning way women are treated in the entertainment industry not just as actresses but also the types of movies they make which demeans women. Some liberals (especially those in Hollywood), like to present themselves as the moral authority always taking the high ground on social issues when time and time again, it's only a façade. The bottom line is Democrats are tied to Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general and if women’s rights groups think this is okay then they’re living by double standards. Based on archeological findings, it’s believed the first boats were made in Egypt around 3,000 B.C. Could you imagine being on the first boat wondering if it would stay afloat? I've got to say, I wouldn't worry about it so much on the Nile River but testing a boat on the ocean for the first time is another thing. I don’t mind admitting I wouldn’t be interested in being a volunteer for that boat launch.
Greyhounds have picked up in their popularity as household pets but their original role was for racing as they could reach speeds up to 40 m.p.h. The dogs chase a mechanical arm around the track that has a decoy on it that looks like a rabbit.
During a race a few years ago, the arm stopped working during a race and the dogs caught up with it and started ripping at the decoy. Realizing it was fake they stood around confused. Many of the dogs could never race again because they knew the decoy was a fake. I think we have some similarities to their experience. Sometimes we think we're chasing the proverbial rabbit when it isn't real and we don't realize it until we catch it. Maybe it's chasing that dream car or home and when we finally get it we realize it wasn't as fulfilling as we'd expected. The devil puts shiny things in front of us hoping we'll get distracted and start chasing it while we're leaving behind the things that really matter. The bottom line to my post is look out for decoys because they're not always what they seem. Since you won't hear it from the mainstream media, they've now found numerous ads sponsored by Russia that were anti-Trump. There were also many ads that were targeted towards creating both race and religious division (anti-Muslim). I believe their overall goal was to disenfranchise U.S. citizens but this doesn't fit the Left's narrative of Russia helping Trump take down Hillary.
